The Truth About Masturbation Month
May is National Masturbation Month, Because of Her:
According to this post by @Slipp3rywhenwet:
So we did a little digging and we uncovered a fascinating story (and a cool documentary) that uncover the contrubtions of sexuality pioneer and former Surgeon General, Minnie Joycelyn Elders.
In 1995 Good Vibrations, a popular sex toy shop, declared May as National Masturbation Month after the current U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Joycelyn Elders was removed from office by President Clinton for her “controversial” public views— including the opinion that masturbation should be discussed as part of sex education in public schools.
Dr. Elders was appointed by President Clinton in 1993 and was the first African-American to hold this office. Soon after her appointment, it became clear that her outspoken views on reproductive rights, drug legalization and masturbation were problematic to conservatives. She was even dubbed the “Condom Queen” by conservative political commentator Rush Limbaugh in 1994 because she favored the distribution of condoms in public schools
We know that 80-90% of men masturbate, and 65-70% of women masturbate, and the rest LIE; so what are we going to talk about?
