4 Tips for Taking Sensual Selfies

One of the most transformative exercises in our Activating Your Sensual Self course is the art of the sensual selfie. Whether its a nude photo or just a sexy pic of your favorite body part, taking selfies can be hard!

So to get tips on taking the best sexy selfies, we called in an expert: Olesha Haskett, boudoir photographer and owner of The Oh Experience. Olesha is more than a photographer and entrepreneur— she’s a women’s empowerment guru. Through her work, she empowers women to embrace their divine feminine & celebrate what makes them unique by creating luxurious experiences and capturing their natural beauty.

Recently, we interviewed Olesha to get her top professional tips for taking timelessly sexy selfies:

  1. Set the mood with lighting and color.
“Play around with different lights and shadows,” Olesha suggests. Warm, dim lights can create a softer mood while brighter lights cast shadows that can give a more dramatic, but sexy effect. Experiment with different textures and colors too!

  2. Find your angles.
“The best angle for selfies is above the shoulders and off to one side,” Olesha explains. Try using a tripod, selfie-stick or self-timer for the trickier angles (like photos captured from behind). Using mirrors to find your angles can also result in a playful, creative effect.

  3. Wear clothes that make you feel powerful and sexy.
“Confidence radiates out of you and people can see that,” Olesha tells us. Even if you plan to take nude photos, it’s important that you feel comfortable, powerful and sexy because it all shows up on film.

  4. Know your look.
Before you break out your camera (or camera phone), you should know what look you’re going for. “Being sexy isn’t just about being naked,” she explains. “The hands, lips, mouth, shoulders, and back are all very sexy body parts by themselves.”

“Every part of your body, if you can see it in a certain way, is sexy.”

In closing, Olesha emphasizes that being sexy is less about how you look and more about how you feel on the inside. “When you feel good and truly love yourself, it’s easier to feel (and be) sexy.” To learn more about Olesha and The Oh Experience, visit her online at: www.ohexperience.com!
